AGM Information
As things go now, we will have a few open positions and if you are willing to join the ranks and stand in nomination for a position, please let me know by 5 pm, June 6, 2008 - this is the day before our AGM so that all voting and elections can be taken care of while we enjoy lunch on Gabriola!
President - Julie Cowie to stand
This individual is to preside at all meetings and enforce due observance of all by-laws, rules, and regulations of the Society.
Vice-President - Nola Nahirnick to stand
This individual shall, in absence of the President, fulfill all duties of the President and carry out any duties as assigned by the Society, Executive Committee, or President.
Membership Secretary - Pat Knowles to stand
This individual is responsible for collecting all dues and ensuring all memberships are kept current and up-to-date and for keeping an accurate membership list.
Communication Specialist - Val Hannan to stand
This individual is responsible for ensuring the membership receives all information pertaining to the Society's activities, including meetings, lectures series, and AGM notifications.
Treasurer - Alina Zutz to stand
This individual shall receive, collect, and deposit all the funds of the Society while keeping an accurate record of all expenditures and receipts pertaining to the Society's activities. This person will also pay all accounts, as approved by the Executive Committee.
Web Master - Natalie Michaud to stand
This individual is responsible for ensuring that the website is kept neat and tidy while also ensuring its contents are current and up-to-date.
Activity Coordinator and Executive Secretary - Robbee Salvati to stand
This individual is responsible for arranging the lecture series, seeking and securing lecturing guests to come and speak to the membership. As secretary, this individual is responsible for keeping accurate records, maintaining the society's written records, and recording the meeting minutes.
If any of the above positions appeal to you and you would like to stand for one of them, including roles that people may be standing in currently, please let me know and your name will be added for consideration during the elections at the AGM.
